Ivar’s knightly duties brought him far from Kells, to a land known as Los Padres National Forest. There, he investigated the water reservoir. His sources had told him that Queen Maeve had some diabolical plan for the dam. It was up to him to stop her!

Oooh! Sparkles!

And thus this blog’s random bursts of life continue…. I wish that I could be more consistent here, buuuut you all know how that goes….

Merry Christmas!

This is the fifth time I’ve tried to upload this! Ah, computers. You can’t live with them and you can’t live without them.
In any case, I know that Christmas was yesterday, but we’re still in the Christmas season, right? Well, I hope you enjoy it and that my singing doesn’t make too many of you deaf!

Ivar means “archer.” In Norse mythology Ivar was crippled at birth but was a skilled archer. He was carried on the battlefield on a shield from which he killed his enemies. Over time he also became a skilled magician. In one story he used his magic to kill an enchanted cow when King Eystein of Sweden invaded Denmark.
When his father was killed in a raid on Northumberland, Ivar and his brothers set out to gain revenge. However, they were beaten and they surrendered. Ella, the king of Northumberland, bequeathed them with land, upon which they built a fortress, which was said to have become the city of London. Ivar won over the hearts of his people and they rose up against Ella and slew him on a stone alter.

I didn’t want to leave on my next expedition (yes, I’m leaving again) on a serious note, so here you go:

Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog
Angus, Deidre, Rohan, Ivar and Garrett
from the short-lived Saban non-Tokusatsu series. -
Not the canceled second season (Battle Thunder), but their upgrade. Only Rohan’s Battle Fury appeared on the show. The other ones appeared in the toys, I took some artistic liberties with the details and colors. Garrett and Ivar’s armor are completely different from their normal armors but Deirdre’s is not, so I changed hers a bit. Angus’ armor is half silver and half brown, which I did not like so I changed it slightly.

Once again I’ve been gone for far too long. Here’s my peace offering: four mystic knights exploring the forests of Kells, ridding them of Temra soldiers. (As a side note: I have Deirdre, too, but she’s still in a box…)
